The result of a conversation in Brixton, last Tuesday at around nine o’clock in the evening.’ (Number 16) Sept 11
was the last work for our Masters Degree. The sculpture summed up the approach to working that we had been developing during the course, and also hinted toward conversation itself, as well as the throwaway comment, the throwaway material, the not quite accidental – and had an aesthetic simplicity and austerity that we found pleasing.
