Gallery/Galilee was displayed along with ‘Detritus‘ as a two piece installation.

We discovered news reports indicating that Israel had ‘stolen’ land from the Lebanon and relocated it in Galilee .

Our word ‘Gallery’ in fact has its roots from the word Galilee.

We decided to make a trip to Lebanon, and also to mail numerous Art Institutions, colleges and galleries in the Lebanon with a self addressed package with a small plastic bag and a letter requesting that the recipient fill the bag with Lebanese soil and return it to them.

The correspondences received and the bags that were returned with Lebanese soil in were displayed alongside a text installation in the Gallery as opposed to Galilee.
