Detritus was displayed along with ‘Gallery/Galilee’ as a two piece installation.

We discovered news reports indicating that Israel had ‘stolen’ land from the Lebanon and relocated it in Galilee .

Our word ‘Gallery’ in fact has its roots from the word Galilee. We decided to make a road trip toward Lebanon and steal ourselves some soil to bring back and place in the Gallery space.

The trip was documented, and the car itself became a sort of living document, Old Bluey’ the Volkswagen polo returned from its travels full of empty bottles, food wrappings, tickets, notes, dust and a crisp packet full of Lebanese Soil.
